BiOceans Association - Sailing around the world

UNDER WATER SAILING / BOATING ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION SPORTS AND SURF

Lorient

Don

Environment, discovery, sports, education, encounters, global warming, all of which prompts Gwalarn to undertake a sailing tour of the world and learn from it.

BiOceans Association will leave the port of Lorient, FRANCE in the fall of 2017 aboard the sailing ship Gwalarn for a world tour of a scientific nature. On the program: Sailing, diving, science, surfing, kitesurfing, discoveries, meetings, education, reports across 3 oceans over a period of 3 - 4 years. After a pilot project in the North Atlantic, BiOceans sets off again for new adventures.

Dedicating to the FUTURE GENERATIONS a healthier blue planet than the one we were left with, this is the inspiration for the BiOceans team. Only one remedy, to make everyone discover through the image all the beauty of the world that surrounds us.

Source of BIOTECHNOLOGIES, BIODIVERSITY reserve, blue gold; The oceans represent the FUTURE. These vast expanses of salt water have so many SECRETS yet to reveal us !!!

After a 10-month North Atlantic trip on Gwalarn, an OVNI 31, the BiOceans association is back in its home port of Lorient.

The future expedition: a circumnavigation

BIOCEANS participates in the study of the state of health of the oceans in collaboration with specialized institutes of international reputation. The ocean degrades; The members of the association by their dynamism, their love of the sea have no limits. To observe, to discover, to share is their leitmotiv!

Who are we?

THE CAPTAIN

At the origin of this tour of the world, a sea enthusiast who wants to reveal to the world the beauty and fragility of the oceans. JULIEN is an engineer in MARINE BIOLOGY, SKIPPER, DIVING MONITOR and professional SCAPHANDRIER in search of images and testimonies to be revealed to the greatest number. "Through this project, we want to show that it is possible to travel more cleanly, while working for the environment"

THE SAILBOAT

GWALARN is a OVNI 31 of 1979, ALUMINUM boat of 10 METERS long. It is a solid sailboat that sent us to the other side of the Atlantic for 10 months between 2014 and 2015. The BiOceans team has already spent 6 months of preparation before the pilot project. It is certainly not the luxury, there is no fridge but a simple electric cooler (at the moment), the shower is solar and water reserves are limited. That said, the kit is on board, it is warm and it feels safe. Today, he wants to stretch his sails and only waits for one thing: to get back into the water.

THE TEAM

Today, a whole team is behind the BiOceans project.

OUR PARTNERS

What's the money for?

The collection will fund a Phantom 4 DJI drone.

Objective: to bring a new dimension and more beautiful images to the next expedition.

A self-steering is a mechanism that allows the sailboat to be barred without any energy sources. He is the best crewman you will ever have; He does not complain, bar better than anyone and does not get tired, an indispensable travel companion !!!!

Finally, always in order to bring back beautiful images, we would like to bring us an Osmo camera with image stabilizer.

But these suggestions do not end there. Your donations would allow the association to improve the sails, to buy a wind turbine to provide more energy, to have an inflatable paddle, a computer entirely dedicated to the creation of video etc .......
